Our ISO certified 9001:2008 hospital boasts an intensive care unit with twin operation theaters, ensuring that we can serve our patients with the utmost precision and efficiency. Dr. Marudhupandian, the visionary behind Ponmalligai Multispeciality Hospital, recognized the unique needs of the elderly population. Witnessing the suffering of geriatric patients, he took a significant step to establish Ponmalligai Geriatric Care in association with Prof. Natarajan’s Geriatric House Call program. This pioneering initiative aimed to bring specialized care to the doorsteps of our senior citizens, ensuring they receive the medical attention they deserve.
Since its inception, Ponmalligai Hospital has continually grown to meet the evolving healthcare needs of the community. In 2009, under the quality leadership of Dr. Marudhupandian and the relentless efforts of our specialists, we expanded our services with the formation of Ponmalligai Hospitals Pvt. Ltd., a 30-bed multispeciality hospital at Adambakkam.
Our commitment to serving the community further led to the establishment of Ponmalligai Mobile Care on Wheels in 2011. This mobile medical unit caters to medical emergencies within a 5 km radius of our hospital, ensuring swift and efficient medical aid when time is of the essence.
Understanding the importance of specialized care for bedridden and sick individuals, we established the Geriatric and Paediatric Care unit at GP Block in 2013. At Ponmalligai, we believe in not just treating illnesses but also spreading happiness and kindness to those in need.
Catering to the health needs of Adambakkam’s residents, Ponmalligai Dialysis Centre and Ponmalligai Diagnostic (Hitech) Centre were set up, promoting health awareness and early disease diagnosis in the community.
Our commitment to holistic healthcare extended beyond urban areas with the establishment of Ponmalligai’s Rural Branch at Thambikottai Keelakkadu near Pattukkottai in 2015. Additionally, in 2016, Ponmalligai Multispeciality Hospital at Kilpauk emerged as a 50-bed hospital equipped with advanced OT/ICU facilities.
As Ponmalligai reached a significant milestone in 2016, becoming a 100-bed hi-tech healthcare organization, we took pride in the development of unique centers of excellence within our hospital network. We continued to deliver round-the-clock services across all branches, driven by our passion to provide the best standards in patient care.
